Bilbao to Santiago de Compostela
This epic 550km road trip follows the northern coastline through the Basque Country, Cantabria, Asturias, and Galicia. Start in Bilbao, grab some pintxos and drive west to Santander. After that, head to Ribadesella, a pretty coastal town in Asturias. End in Santiago de Compostela, the final stop on the famous Camino de Santiago pilgrimage, and check out the old town.

Then drive up to Fuente Dé and take a cable car into the mountains. Then drive back to town through Desfiladero de la Hermida, an excellent gorge road that will make you wonder if you are still in Spain.
La Rioja Wine Route

However, you will have to take turns driving or stop at various places if you are drinking wine. But that's part of the fun, stopping off, and taking your time. The three best places to stop at Haro, Brione, and Laguardia. The roads along the way and the villages are full of history and are just a nice place to be about while on holiday in your campervan.
