RV rental in Tacoma

With Cruise America it's a 50/50 chance how good the vehicle is. This time we had a relatively new C21 with few problems. Last time we had a total loss while driving, but this time it seemed to me in the yard that Cruise America had modernised the fleet quite well. The staff are very friendly, and no unrealistic expectations are placed on the return. The price-performance ratio is very good, but you should not have excessive expectations. The vehicle was superficially cleaned when you picked it up, but you shouldn't look too closely. Here you have to go to roadbear/El Monte,... The campers are then much better, but usually also much more expensive. All in all, Cruise America did a good job with this rental, and considering the relatively low price, the service was good. Expectations were met, but not exceeded.

- Unfortunately, we got a very old camper (130,000 miles on the clock, 3-5 years old), without a USB port in the driver's cab, already cracks in the upholstery, surfaces that are peeling off, many signs of wear inside and outside, one day a yellow warning light came on, but was off again the next day, for the price we would have liked a newer and more modern vehicle + the C-30 is very spacious and comfortable, it has taken us 3,800 miles well through the west of the USA

Motorhome has a V8 engine and gets a good 10 MPG.

Uncomplicated collection and return. Significantly cheaper than the competition. Vehicle had a few quirks, but all in all it was fine, safe and roadworthy.

The vehicle did have a few minor defects, is rather poorly finished and consumes a lot of petrol. It is also very noisy. What bothered us the most was how bad Cruise America's customer service was, even though we wanted to extend our stay.

Sturdy vehicle, completely reliable. The right size with 2 teenagers. Completely uncomplicated return (despite a small additional scratch). Length of the RV was never a problem, only General Sherman Tree we had to approach from the back, but worth it!

Professional pick up and drop off service

old and dirty, infested with mice, very expensive. Will never rent again with Cruise America / Canada.

We picked up the camper van in Seattle and dropped it off in Los Angeles. Everything went smoothly. We would choose Escape CamperDays again if they had a suitable offer.

All in all, a good vehicle. The brakes were a bit weak when you really had to step on them. The tap with the hand pump was a bit stubborn, it often sprayed everywhere but where you needed it. Unfortunately, the central locking system on our van didn't work, which often made locking and unlocking it difficult. The additionally hired fan heater often went out after a few minutes and had to cool down. Otherwise, however, everything worked well and we were satisfied overall. The fridge did a good job and the car ran well.
