The camper van was pretty dirty when we received it. There was a lot of dirt in the crockery drawer. The toilet was defective and had to be replaced. Drawers were all loose and had to be re-screwed. Gas cooker switch levers were all defective and had to be replaced. Otherwise everything worked. Motor always worked perfectly.

We picked up our campervan in Cairns. After an inadequate introduction, we were able to drive off. Unfortunately, our campervan smelled of sewage, so we drove straight back the next day. There it was discovered that the handover had not been carried out correctly and the pipe was blocked. The problem was quickly rectified and we received a small refund. Unfortunately, we later had a serious accident and had to pick up a new campervan in Brisbane. The team quickly provided us with a replacement camper. Unfortunately, this camper wasn't clean at all and the water in the shower didn't drain. We tried to call the Road Assistance team, but that was impossible. Despite at least six calls and several live chats, we were only contacted by email three days later, even though we had requested an immediate call back. This is probably the most annoying thing about renting through Maui. Whenever we needed help, nobody was available and the overall service (apart from the team at the front desk in Cairns) was very poor. Unfortunately, there is also no point in switching to Apollo, Mighty etc., as all companies belong to "thl" and operate via the same hotline. The vehicle was in very good condition and only had a few kilometres on it. In our case, this was incredibly important, as otherwise the accident would probably have had more serious consequences. Booking through Camperdays was very easy and very good. They even made additional enquiries for us and contacted us after the accident to see how we were doing. We can recommend booking through Camperdays and the Ultima model (less than two years old), but not the "thl" service.

Almost new vehicle, with good driving comfort and an enormous number of amenities, which only gradually became apparent to us - not yet campers. The briefing could therefore have been a little more detailed. Also good: telephone support for technical questions was always quickly available and ready to provide information.

Excellent quality, service, convenience. Loved all the features. Perfect size for two of us. Newer model was super nice too.
Very poor service, extremely dirty vehicle - without any response to complaints, failure of functions such as the toilet flushing during the rental, all around not recommended - especially not in this price range

We were very satisfied with everything

Great camper, enough space for 2 adults with child, unfortunately got a slightly older model overall, but was very reliable and made the 6000km from Cairns to Melbourne without any problems.

We rented a camper van for three weeks, took it in Cairns and gave it back in Melbourne. We underestimated the distance, especially since the roads in the very north and south are not that good. Anyway, the given Sprinter was excellent, easy to drive and quite new (25T km). After a week, a stone from a passing semi truck hit our windscreen and a scratch appeared on the next day. We had o replace it, but it was not a big deal since the contact to Britz went very well, THL handled the case professionally and directly contacted the repair service we had selected. The screen was delivered the next day, on the morning of the second day we could continue our journey. I guess you should judge the quality of a company by how they handle exceptional things, and from that point of view Britz/THL were doing great. We had the all inclusive plan, which of course is expensive, but after all we were glad to have taken it...

Mobility top, functionality flop. Neither the fridge nor the heating run on gas - the camper is dependent on a power connection at the campsite. The Sprinter was brilliant as a platform, handy, agile and very economical with less than 10 litres of diesel per 100 km. The furnishings and equipment were spartan, partly inappropriate and completely geared towards a connection to the power grid. When we took over the vehicle, we were told that it should be connected to the power grid every other day, which is a bitter pill to swallow for nature lovers who prefer to spend the night in national parks rather than at Big4 and NRMA campgrounds. In fact, this was out of the question because the fridge alone drained the camper's weak battery within a few hours. The camper is heated exclusively by the air conditioning, which of course doesn't work at all without a power connection. With night-time temperatures in the single digits, this is sometimes unpleasant. If you plan your holiday in such a way that you always have a pitch with a power connection, everything is fine.

The vehicle (engine/chassis) was basically in good order and technically well maintained. Unfortunately, it was handed over quite dirty, so we had to do a lot of cleaning first. Basically it is ok for 2 people, 4 people we see as "impossible". These are old vehicles with generally > 200,000 kilometres. The interior is correspondingly "worn out", curtains are torn, ... However, the main problem and absolute no-go is the extremely uncomfortable bed, as the thin mattress lies on a base with steel struts that give you a hell of a backache. We met 2 other travellers with the same car... all the same problem. A Mighty employee of course knew about the struts and how uncomfortable it is, but they still rented it out... We bought a mattress on the 3rd day and put it on top. It's not possible without it, with it it was "ok", but the seating area was a thing of the past as the new additional mattress was in the way. I don't recommend the vehicle because of the sleeping comfort, regardless of the price.

Unfortunately, the vehicle gets wet in heavy rain. Wet bed, if not good engine, lockers a little light and model with little view for rear passengers Christophe

We had hoped to be able to cope with a campervan like this for 5 weeks. The vehicle is basically a leased van into which some boards have been carpentered in order to create a sleeping area just under the roof using seat cushions that can be put together wildly. It wasn't even suitable for one person to sleep in. We then spent two nights in the roof tent. That would have been ok, but it smelt musty and the tent was very used and stained. Furthermore, there was no sensible way of organising our belongings in the interior. The kitchen installed in the rear was good, only the fridge was very used (rust), the technology (vehicle and "extension") worked so far. The basic vehicle actually had potential, but unfortunately this was not utilised. You can probably accept all this for a weekend, but we decided to upgrade. Overall, we can only praise the service provided by Jucy Rental (we had another motorhome change on this trip due to a technical defect).

Car was in poor condition, we only received the sat nav booked with the insurance when we asked for a refund. The fridge can only be operated for a maximum of 8 hours without external power when not driving and we had to drive for several hours to recharge the battery. Unfortunately, this severely restricted us in the realisation of our trip. We would not recommend this booking to anyone!

We refused the first camper that Jucy wanted to give us when we picked it up because of its desolate condition (lots of faulty equipment etc.). The second camper was extremely outdated (20 years old) and many things were damaged or no longer worked. For example, the seat belt of the driver's seat no longer tightened properly or water ran into the driver's footwell when it rained, etc. Extras added at the time of booking, such as camping chairs/table and a child seat, were initially not available on collection and were only organised on request, which cost additional time. These are just some of the things that didn't go well. Due to a lack of alternatives on site, we had to take the second campervan as Jucy were not understanding and unwilling to go the extra mile. I would never rent from Jucy again.

The motorhome was not very clean and various things were missing or broken. The motorhome was in urgent need of an overhaul.... In addition, the roof covering smelled strange (was especially unpleasant for the people who slept upstairs).

Very friendly Juicy staff, but the vehicle is old and in average condition.

Useful tips for your trip to Cairns
While you may think summer is the best time to visit Cairns, many disagree. Some argue it's best to go during the transition months between the dry and wet seasons. So, consider April and May or September and October. The climate is agreeable, and the crowds are less busy during peak season.
- Diving
There are many opportunities to dive around Australia and Cairns, but the Great Barrier Reef is one of the most appealing. The best time to visit this natural wonder is between May and October, as the water visibility is best and the water temperature is still pleasant.
- Hiking
If you are looking to hike up the various trails around Cairns and beyond, the best time to do this is during the Dry Season, which runs from April to October. That is unless you have a lot of experience and skill and want to face a real hiking challenge.
- Beach holidays
Want to relax on one of the many beaches close to Cairns or dip into the sea? Spring is the ideal time to visit the beaches in Cairns, especially as the crowds are down and the temperatures are increasing. So, if you don’t fancy going at the height of summer, consider September, October or November.

Best campervan driving routes From Cairns
One of the best ways to explore the country when you hire a campervan in Cairns is to try some of the popular driving routes. Below are some of the best.
Savannah Way—Cairns to Broome
Covering around 3,700 km, the route from Cairns to Broome is a challenging and quick drive. The rewards for setting aside time and putting effort into this journey are rich, though you will get a real sense of what authentic outback Australia is like. Along the way, you will find stunning scenery and learn about history, such as the Chillagoe mining site, incredible aboriginal art, and sublime limestone caves. While on the route, stop at or journey through the Undara Volcanic National Park and the Boodjamulla (Lawn Hill Gorge) National Park.
Great Barrier Reef Drive, Cairns to Cape Tribulation Via Port Douglas
Although more officially known as Capt. Cook Highway, when you rent a motorhome in Cairns and want to take in the sensory delights of the two most famous UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Australia, in the Wet Tropics rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef, this is the route to take. There are too many highlights to list here, but some of them include Daintree National Park, Port Douglas, Rex Lookout and Palm Cove. Untouched outback countryside to one side and long stretches of pristine sand beaches at the other, there are various headlands, covers and bays you will want to explore along the way.
Depending on how long you intend to spend on the road, these routes are full of many stops to stretch out the duration of your driving adventure to last as long as you want.
