It's an incredible drive along Marine Drive on the Eastern Shore, which passes through some great little fishing villages where you can stop and explore. Sheet Harbour and Musquodoboit Harbour are two that are worth calling at. You could break up the trail by staying overnight along the coast and kayaking or hiking. You will know once you arrive at Cape Breton Island, as the scenery is absolutely stunning.

Halifax to Prince Edward Island
If you fancy an island adventure, the drive from Halifax to Prince Edward Island is about 300km and includes a ferry crossing. Head north through Truro and New Glasgow and take the ferry from Caribou to Price Edward Island. The island is a fantastic place that is perfect for for motorhome rental in Halifax. The route you take here is your choice, as there's loads to see. We recommend heading into Charlotte, the island's capital city, as there is loads to see here. Burntcoat Head Park
Burncoat Head Park is famous for having the highest tides in the world and is on the Bay of Fundy. The best thing to do is find out when the lowest and highest tides will be on that day and visit during both periods to see how much it's changed. Grand-Pré National Historic Site
