Helsinki to Rovaniemi

The road there is the famous Route 4, full of pine forests and lakes lining the road. Stop at the town of Jyväskylä with its wooden architecture and lakeside cafes. As you drive further north, the forests become denser before you arrive in Rovaniemi. You can meet Santa (yes, even in the summer), visit reindeer farms and maybe even see the northern lights.

Helsinki to Koli National Park
Rent a motorhome in Helsinki and Head north on the E75, which takes you through Finland's famous Lakeland region where lakes stretch as far as the eye can see. Helsinki Archipelago
The good thing about having your own transport is that you don't have to stay on the mainland. Helsinki’s coastline is scattered with over 300 islands, all offering something different. Suomenlinna is one of the most famous, with a sea fortress that has historic walls, tunnels and excellent sea views. If you are up for an adventure, you could hire a kayak and explore some of the islands on the water.

Fiskars is an ironworks village that feels like stepping into a Nodric fairytale. It used to be an industrial hub, but it's now a haven for artists, designers, and craftsmen.
